Our Story

Our bakery rich in history, began in 1928 as the Davis Bakery on this very location. Fred Johnson purchased the business in 1932, and continued to operate the Davis Bakery until 1978 when he retired. In 1980 Joseph frombach, a baker from Philadelphia, reopened the bakery, carrying on the tradition of fine pastries and baked goods. Later on a café was added. in 1989, the name was changed the John Williams European Pastry Shop, in memory of his late son John William Frombach. Today the business is owned and operated by joe frombach Jr. a third generation baker and his son Quentin a fourth generation baker, carrying on the family's tradition . Many of the original equipment is still used today to make fresh baked good ad pastries.
